International scientific cooperation

When performing of scientific research, KSCQZD cooperated with the following research organizations:

-Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Fort Collins, Colorado (USA);

- CDC (Atlanta) USA;

- Northern Arizona University;

-  Louisiana State University, USA;

- University of Liverpool.  Great Britain;

- University of Oslo, Norway;

-  University of Antwerp, Belgium;

- Institute Pasteur, (Paris);

- Center Prophylaxis of Quarantine and Particularly Dangerous Infections, Uzbekistan (Tashkent);

-  Republican Center of  Quarantine and Especially Dangerous Infections, Kyrgyzstan, (Bishkek).

One jointly scientific program on the INTAS line and two with the International Scientific and Technological Center (ISTC) were completed.

One project completed, and  work  is continuing on  the second project of  ISTC for studying natural plague foci and  virulence of  Y. pestis strains with collaborators from the USA (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Fort Collins) one ISTC project on brucellosis in Kazakhstan, one project "Strengthening of physical and biological safety”  with the agency for  thereat-reducing activities of  the USA and one Telecommunication project of  ISTC. One project is carried out on studying of  bustard migration from the United Arab Emirates. On the basis of  the Center specialists from abroad periodically have training.

KSCQZD is collaboration with the WHO centre for plague since 1995.

Results of international scientific cooperation

New technologies are mastered:


-         Molecular and genetic diagnostics of SDD (specially dangerous diseases)

-         Molecular and genetic research of SDD

-          Mathematical forecasting;

-          GIS.


Trainings by modern methods of diagnostics, research, IT in laboratories of universities and scientific centers of  the USA, England, Spain, Norway are provided.

Within the Global Partnership Program (GPP) Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

- It’s created the Regional centre on biosafety

- Seminars are being held on biosafety and transportation of pathogens

- Translated into Kazakh language the Canadian Biosafety rules;

- Published in Russian language - WHO's biosafety rules;
